Washington artist Tim Conlon will be on hand for a talk-and-draw demonstration of graffiti styles and techniques and discuss how graffiti has been used as a form of protest. Conlon — whose work has been featured in museums and galleries across the country — will also discuss the artists who risked their lives to paint the Berlin Wall during the Cold War.

Exercise your freedom of expression by painting your own message on the Newseum's re-creation of the Berlin Wall.
Other Family Day activities include a Gallery Talk, Front Page Frenzy Game, NewsMania™ trivia and News Hound scavenger hunt all related back to the Berlin Wall. For more information, visit newseum.org.
