Capital Spice: Urfa Tomato Kabob a Turkish delight

The Capital Spice blog published an enthustiastic review of Urfa Tomato Kebab (740 6th St NW) yesterday.

Back in February I linked to a review from Tim of The 42 Bus who issued Urfa an "A" grade. I've visited a couple of times since and found the restaurant to be a good cheap eat although I'm not the doner aficionado Capital Spice is. What are your thoughts?

I finally got around to trying Urfa. I cut my döner kebab teeth throughout years of living in Germany and Urfa is the closest thing I've had to those in the US. I'm very much a fan.

Definitely good stuff. I think the nice thing about the menu is the simplicity (although I do wish they had more entree type platters).

That said, the first time I tried this place .. I got home to the Madrigal .. ate .. and then walked back for seconds.
