Jo-Ann Neuhaus' PennQuarter.org email blasts send out information about deals in the neighborhood on an a frequent basis. The Sangria special below from Nandos Peri Peri (819 7th Street NW) caught my attention:Nando's Peri-Peri

Has anyone tried the Sangria? How is it? Any other feedback on this Nando's in general? The reviews on Yelp seem solid and I have to say that after getting past the unconventional ordering system I agree it's good solid cheap eat.

A sangria happy hour? That combines two of my favorite thing: sangria and happy hours.
They make the sangria with Sprite. VERY weird. I don't like it.
Thanks for the intel Chris. I've not yet tried the sangria so I did not know that.
As an aside, here's another Yelp link that filters through all 100+ reviews for this Nando's to return just the ones that mentioned Sangria.
I like Nando's in the neighborhood because it isn't small plates at large prices, the beer from Portugal that they have tastes good on a hot day (try the Sagres first) and the food hasn't disappointed. it and Vapiano's are my 'go to' casual dining spots.
I've never had the sangria, but I've had everything non-alcoholic on the menu. Even the chicken livers are pretty good.
I had the sangria a few weeks ago and I really liked it. It is pretty sweet, but tasty.
